BRATTLEBORO — Following a months-long narcotics investigation, Vermont State Police apprehended Anton G. Lutz Jr., 29, on charges related to the sale and possession of illegal drugs.

Lutz, who lacks a permanent address, was arrested on Canal Street on April 2 for selling fentanyl and cocaine, as well as possession of cocaine.

The arrest comes as a result of investigations into his activities in the Brattleboro area dating back to July.

In addition to drug-related offenses, Lutz faces six counts of violating court-ordered conditions of release.

These violations are connected to previous cases in the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, where Lutz was under court orders while engaging in illicit drug distribution.

Authorities have set Lutz’s bail at $5,000.

He received a citation to appear before the Vermont Superior Court in the Windham Criminal Division on April 3 at 12:30 p.m.

The Brattleboro Police Department assisted the Vermont State Police Narcotics Investigation Unit in this case.

The investigation is still active, and no additional details are being released at this time.
