ST. JOHNSBURY — A local woman was arrested on a warrant and for drug possession charges during a routine patrol on Eastern Avenue, according to the St. Johnsbury Police Department.
Corporal George Johnson of the St. Johnsbury Police Department apprehended 26-year-old Morgan Clark around 8:16 p.m. on April 1 after recognizing her and being aware of an active warrant for her arrest.
The warrant was related to a charge of aggravated domestic assault with a weapon, carrying a $1,000 bail.
During the processing at the correctional facility, Clark was found to be in possession of substances that later field-tested positive for fentanyl and crack cocaine, leading to additional charges for possession and trafficking of these drugs.
Clark, a resident of St. Johnsbury, is scheduled to appear in court on April 2.
