BOSTON — A Dorchester man was arrested on charges of armed robbery in Roxbury, the Boston Police Department reported Saturday.
Shawn Marsh, 32, was taken into custody by officers from District B-2 around 1:11 p.m. after allegedly threatening a victim with a knife and stealing an item earlier in the day.
At approximately 11:49 a.m., police had initially responded to a report of an armed individual at 150 Martin Luther King Boulevard.
The suspect, described as being aggressive, brandished a knife at the victim before fleeing with stolen property.
A subsequent call led officers back to the same location, where they apprehended Marsh, who matched the description provided by detectives.
During the arrest, officers found a knife with brass knuckles on Marsh.
Charges against Marsh include armed robbery and possession of a dangerous weapon.
He is scheduled for arraignment in Roxbury District Court.
