GUILFORD — The Guilford Police Department announced late Friday night that Boston Post Rd has been reopened following the containment of an active structure fire at Bishop’s Orchard.
The road closure, which affected the stretch between Long Hill Rd and Peddlers Rd, was lifted at 9:50 p.m. after emergency crews from Guilford and surrounding towns responded to the blaze.
Police confirmed that all employees and animals at the popular local farm market and orchard were safe and unharmed.
Authorities have yet to release details on the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage to the property.
The Police Department thanked the community for their patience and cooperation during the emergency and advised residents to stay tuned to official channels for updates.
Fire crews remained on scene late into the night to fully extinguish the fire and conduct a thorough investigation.
