GLOVER –– On Monday, April 8, at 2 p.m., Bread and Puppet Theater will hold a participatory ritual performance and exhibit in their field in Glover to honor the full solar eclipse.

Following ancient traditions, attendees will dance in circles, mimicking the movements of celestial bodies, and sing songs venerating the sun.

During the full eclipse, which will occur from 3:27 to 3:30 p.m., participants will observe a period of silence.

The ritual will take place outdoors in the circus field regardless of weather conditions, so attendees are advised to dress appropriately.

Those who wish to learn the songs beforehand should arrive at 1 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own eclipse glasses or experience the eclipse as our ancestors did, through the darkening sky.
