VERNON — After a lengthy investigation by the East Central Narcotics Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and Vernon Police Department officers, a significant narcotics seizure led to the arrest of a local man on March 28.
Jarvis Chambers, with a birthdate of July 19, 1984, was apprehended at the Valero Gas Station on 506 Talcottville Rd. during the execution of two arrest warrants and two search warrants.
Chambers attempted to evade law enforcement on his arrival but was quickly contained and arrested after refusing to exit his vehicle.
The search of Chambers and his vehicle resulted in the confiscation of 118 bags of suspected fentanyl, approximately 10 grams of crack cocaine, and 5.53 grams of fentanyl-laced marijuana.
Chambers faces multiple charges including two counts of possession with intent to sell narcotics as a subsequent offense, operation of a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia, and interfering with an officer.
Additional charges related to an outstanding arrest warrant include possession of narcotics and sale of narcotics.
He is currently held on bonds totaling $400,000.
