NEWPORT — The Dailey Memorial Library recently celebrated the retirement of two of its most longstanding and influential board members, Ginette Provost and Susan Birchard. Their departure marks the end of a significant era for the library, spanning over a decade of dedicated service.
Provost and Birchard have been pivotal in steering the library through numerous events and initiatives, including craft fairs, concerts, and strategic planning sessions.
Their tenure is especially noted for their significant contributions to the library’s development, including the planning and design of the building’s expansion project in the summer of 2017. The expansion project, a hallmark of their time on the board, greatly enhanced the library’s capacity to serve the community.
Their leadership and vision have been instrumental in the growth and success of the library, earning them the respect and admiration of both colleagues and community members.
