WEST HAVEN — Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire in the 90 block of Orford Street at 9:40 p.m. Monday, finding a small extinguished fire in a bedroom upon arrival.
The West Haven Fire Department (WHFD) companies arrived on scene to light smoke emanating from the residence.
After entering, firefighters quickly discovered the source of the smoke was a small fire that had already been extinguished before their arrival.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
Police were also present on the scene, ensuring the area was secured and assisting with the investigation.
Officials have confirmed that there were no injuries as a result of the fire.
