MALDEN — The Malden Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in the ongoing search for Ian Umansky, a resident who has been missing since he left his home on Feb. 2.
Umansky departed without disclosing his destination and has ceased all communication, including leaving behind his cell phone.
Investigators have determined that he was last seen walking on East Border Road toward the intersection with Fellsway East.
Surveillance footage captured images of Umansky carrying a backpack on the day of his disappearance.
The intersection of East Border Road and Fellsway East serves as a connecting point between the cities of Malden, Medford, and Melrose.
Police are urging anyone with information about Umansky’s whereabouts, especially motorists who frequent these roads, to come forward.
