ROCKY HILL — The Rocky Hill Police Communication Center received a report of multiple vehicle break-ins at the Stepney Place Apartments on Silas Deane Highway on Sunday.

Responding officers located a white sedan in the parking area with one occupant seen breaking into a vehicle.

The suspects fled the scene recklessly when they noticed police presence, driving over a grass area towards Marshall Road.

A pursuit was not initiated as the crimes were deemed property-related.

Authorities confirmed that 43 vehicles were burglarized, with most being locked and forcibly entered through broken windows.

The Rocky Hill Police Department urges all victims to report to Officer Nathan Thomas at 860-258-2057 or via email at [email protected], or to contact the communication center at 860-258-7640.

The suspects remain unidentified, but police are committed to using technology and resources to solve the crimes.

Residents are reminded to secure their vehicles, as there has been an increase in incidents where thieves break windows to access valuables.

Sergeant Jeffrey Foss-Rugan encourages community members to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Rocky Hill Police Department at 699 Old Main Street or by calling 860-258-2041.
