LEWISTON — Lewiston Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle connected to a reported gunshot incident earlier today.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Howard Street, between Pine and Ash streets, at 2:47 p.m. after receiving reports of a gunshot being fired.
Authorities are currently on the scene conducting an investigation.
While there have been no reports of injuries, and there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the community, police are urging anyone with information about the vehicle in question to contact Detective Brian Bourgoin.
Citizens are advised not to approach the vehicle or its occupants if encountered.
