HAMDEN — The Hamden Police Department is conducting an investigation into an armed carjacking that occurred on the night of March 19 at the intersection of Dixwell Avenue and Scott Street.
At approximately 9:11 p.m., a male suspect dressed in all black allegedly commandeered a vehicle belonging to a victim in the area.
Initial reports suggested that the incident involved a firearm; however, further investigation by the authorities has revealed that no weapon was actually displayed during the carjacking.
As of the latest information provided by the police, there have been no injuries reported in connection with the crime.
