FAIRFIELD — Police arrested a juvenile on Saturday night in connection with an armed robbery where several youths were threatened at gunpoint.
The incident occurred at around 8:11 p.m. on March 17 on New Hampshire Avenue.
Victims reported being approached by individuals wearing ski masks while riding their bicycles.
The suspects, brandishing firearms and a knife, demanded their belongings.
Officers from the Fairfield Police Department’s Patrol and Investigative Divisions identified and apprehended the suspect at their residence without incident.
The juvenile now faces charges including first-degree robbery and threatening, illegal carrying of a pistol, and fifth-degree larceny.
The individual is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court for Juvenile Matters at 9 a.m. on March 18.
Authorities have informed Fairfield Public Schools of the event, which was not school-related.
The suspect has been banned from school property during the investigation.
Police assert there is no ongoing threat to the public and urge anyone with information to come forward.
