NEW LONDON — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday night in the area of Bank St and State St.
At approximately 8:17 p.m., New London Police were called to the scene following reports of gunfire.
Officers found evidence confirming the reports upon their arrival.
Members of the Investigative Services Division are actively processing the scene and collecting evidence, while also canvassing the surrounding neighborhood.
There have been no injuries associated with the incident, which authorities believe was not a random act.
The investigation is ongoing.
