SPRINGFIELD — A man was arrested on an in-state warrant following a traffic stop for speeding on Interstate 91, Springfield police said.
According to the police department’s press release, Officer Freeman was conducting highway safety traffic enforcement on I91 South when he stopped a vehicle at 10:37 p.m. on March 14.
The driver, identified as Anthony Wasilenski, was found to have an active warrant.
Wasilenski was taken into custody without incident and issued a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on March 15.
He has been lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
Officers Freeman and Clark are listed as the investigating officers for the incident.
