WESTFORD — A Westford woman was charged with driving under the influence after a single-vehicle accident on Old Stage Road, police said.
Allison Gagne, 32, lost control of her 2013 Honda CRV around 5:32 p.m. Thursday, veering off the wet and muddy roadway and colliding with a tree, according to the Vermont State Police.
Troopers, along with the Westford Fire Department and Essex Rescue, responded to the scene near the intersection with Rolling Irish Road where they found Gagne with heavy front-end damage to her vehicle.
She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Gagne sustained head injuries and was transported to the UVM Medical Center for treatment.
Subsequent investigation and blood evidence revealed a blood alcohol content above the legal limit.
She is scheduled to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on May 23 at 8:15 a.m. to face DUI charges.
