REVERE — Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 12-year-old Hispanic girl with special needs who went missing earlier today.
The girl was last seen around 3:40 p.m. near Short Beach, crossing Winthrop Parkway and walking toward Winthrop.
She is described as being of average height with long dark hair.
She was wearing a shiny purple jacket, dark pants, and white sneakers at the time of her disappearance.
Accompanying the girl was a small Maltese-type dog, white or beige in color.
The Revere Police Department urges anyone with information to immediately call 718-284-1212 or dial 911.
The search effort is ongoing, and the police are canvassing the area to locate the missing child as quickly as possible.
