Montpelier man arrested for DUI after two-vehicle crash

MONTPELIER — A two-vehicle collision on Memorial Drive led to the arrest of a Waterbury man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol March 10.

Montpelier Police Department officers, including Officer Alesha Donovan and Officer Quinn Montes, responded to the crash at approximately 1:11 p.m. at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Bailey Avenue.

Upon arrival, they observed signs of impairment in one of the drivers involved in the incident.

After a roadside evaluation, the 32-year-old male driver from Waterbury was taken into custody.

The investigation established probable cause for the arrest on charges of DUI.

The Montpelier Police Department, with assistance from Turning Point Recovery Center, continues to investigate the incident.

Police have not released the name of the suspect.
