WORCESTER — A 26-year-old man, Cristian Carrasquillo, surrendered to police today in connection with a shooting that took place on Main Street last week.
On March 4, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Worcester Police responded to reports of gunfire at 2 Main St. An 18-year-old male was found with gunshot wounds.
He received immediate medical attention and was transported to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
Worcester Police detectives have been actively investigating the incident since, processing the crime scene and gathering evidence.
The rapid developments in the case led to Carrasquillo’s voluntary surrender to authorities.
Carrasquillo has been arrested and is currently being held in custody.
The investigation remains active as detectives continue to piece together the events that led up to the shooting.
