WALLINGFORD — A 59-year-old Castleton man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs following a vehicle crash on Route 7, Vermont State Police said.
Troopers responded to the incident near Wallingford on March 5 at about 5:22 p.m. The driver, identified as Robert Johnson Jr., displayed signs of impairment during their interaction with him, authorities reported.
Johnson was taken into custody and subjected to a blood draw to determine the level of impairment.
Following the procedure, he was released with a citation to appear in Rutland Criminal Court on charges of DUI drug.
Vermont State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
