DUXBURY — Vermont State Police arrested an Underhill man on charges of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child following an investigation that began in January.
Christopher S. Manfred, 43, turned himself in to the Berlin Barracks on March 11 at around 9 a.m., following an investigation into allegations that he had engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with a female child who was known to him.
The initial investigation by the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations started after the allegations surfaced on Jan. 13.
According to police, the acts occurred at a residence in Duxbury.
Following his surrender, Manfred was processed and issued a citation to appear at the Washington Superior Court Criminal Division on March 12 at 12:30 p.m.
He was released pending his court appearance.
Authorities have not released further details about the case.
