North Providence woman arrested for credit card fraud, Providence man held for stolen vehicle

PROVIDENCE — On Thursday, at 7:28 p.m., Rhode Island State Police arrested Claudia Botero, 39, of North Providence, on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court.

The warrant, issued by Providence Superior Court, was for a hearing related to charges of fraudulent use of credit cards. Botero’s arrest followed a vehicle stop on Charles Street in Providence.

She was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and subsequently transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.

In a separate incident early Friday at 2:30 a.m., Darel Martinez Cabreja, 25, of Providence, was arrested on charges of possessing a stolen motor vehicle and conspiracy.

The arrest warrant, originating from the Pawtucket Police Department, was executed following a vehicle stop on Branch Avenue in Providence.

Martinez Cabreja was processed at the same barracks before being handed over to the Pawtucket Police Department.
