1 min read

NEWPORT — The North Country Quilters Guild has scheduled its March meeting for Tuesday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m. at The Church of God, a deviation from its usual first Tuesday meeting routine to accommodate town meeting schedules.

This month’s gathering will focus on the theme of organizing and utilizing fabric scraps. Additionally, the meeting will include the important task of electing new officers for the guild.

Regularly, the guild meets at The Church of God on Crawford Road, behind The Community Bank, welcoming anyone with an interest in quilting, regardless of their skill level. The guild’s ethos is centered around learning, sharing, and enjoying the art of quilting with friends, while also contributing to the community.

The agenda typically features a brief business meeting, insights from shop owners on the latest in quilting, a show and tell segment where members display their latest projects, followed by socializing, snacks, and either an engaging program or a game.

For those interested in joining the guild or staying informed, Kathy Nolan and Noreen Hinton are the contacts for the email list, reachable at [email protected] and [email protected], respectively. More information, including past show and tell highlights and quilt show photos, is available on the guild’s website at www.northcountryquiltersvt.com.
