HAVERHILL — Two individuals were found fatally shot at a Broadway Street residence on Sunday evening, according to Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker and Haverhill Police Chief Robert Pistone.
Haverhill Police responded to a welfare check at around 5:43 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man and a woman deceased with apparent gunshot wounds.
The identities of the victims are being withheld until family members are notified.
Authorities have indicated that there is no ongoing risk to the community.
The Essex County District Attorney’s Office State Police Detective Unit, along with Haverhill Police detectives, are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Officials stated that no additional information will be provided tonight as the investigation continues.
