DANBY — A domestic disturbance late Saturday night led to the arrest of a local man on charges of aggravated domestic assault and resisting arrest, according to the Vermont State Police.
Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to a call at approximately 10:20 p.m. on March 3 to a residence on Danby Pawlet Rd, where they encountered 25-year-old Ryan Battease.
The investigation indicated that Battease had fired a black powder revolver at a family member, narrowly missing the individual.
During the incident, Battease resisted arrest but was ultimately detained and brought to the Rutland Barracks for processing.
Following a court order, Battease was held without bail at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
Battease is scheduled to appear in Rutland Superior Criminal Court on March 4 at 12:30 p.m. to face the charges.
The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the altercation or the victim involved.
