PLYMOUTH — At approximately 8:30 a.m., local authorities responded to a call at 255 Water St., Nelson Park, where an unresponsive male was discovered facedown in the water.
Upon arrival, officers located the individual who appeared to have been in the water for an extended period.
Emergency Medical Services personnel pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
Plymouth Police Detectives, in collaboration with State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, are currently investigating the cause and manner of death.
Authorities have stated there is no immediate concern for public safety in relation to this incident.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
