RUTLAND — A multi-agency operation led to the arrest of a Massachusetts man on charges of trafficking crack cocaine following a traffic stop in Rutland.
Kalvin Holding, 29, of New Bedford, MA, was detained on the evening of Feb. 29 after Vermont State Police, along with members of the Vermont Drug Task Force, FBI, and Rutland Town Police Department, stopped his vehicle.
During the stop, a K-9 unit alerted officers to the potential presence of narcotics.
A subsequent search warrant was obtained and executed, leading to the discovery of 81.4 grams of a substance believed to be crack cocaine.
Holding was lodged at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility with bail set at $15,000.
