RICHMOND — Vermont State Police arrested a 26-year-old Ecuadorian man on suspicion of driving under the influence late on Feb. 28 after he performed a U-Turn on Interstate 89.
Marco Bermejo Pichazaca was pulled over by a trooper from the Williston Barracks at mile marker 74 around 11:31 p.m.
Troopers observed signs of impairment while interacting with Pichazaca and took him into custody.
Following processing at the Williston Barracks, Pichazaca was released with a citation.
He is scheduled to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on March 29 at 8:15 a.m. to face DUI charges.
