OXFORD — Police arrested a 29-year-old Oxford man Friday after he allegedly broke into a home on Holbrook Road, according to authorities.
The incident began at approximately 1:30 p.m. when a 911 hang-up call was received from an address on Holbrook Road.
After dispatch attempted to call back and was hung up on, officers were dispatched to the area.
Meanwhile, a second call was placed to 911 from a nearby residence reporting a break-in in progress.
The suspect reportedly forced entry into the home, prompting the two occupants to retreat to a back bedroom for safety.
Upon arrival, officers were directed to the suspect’s location within the house and apprehended him without further incident.
The man, whose identity has not been released, is scheduled to be arraigned in Dudley District Court on Monday.
He faces charges of break and enter in the daytime, malicious destruction of property, trespassing, and disturbing the peace.
No injuries were reported during the incident, and the address had no prior calls for police service.
