SUDBURY — A 37-year-old Castleton man was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a juvenile under 13 and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child, Vermont State Police reported.
Authorities began their investigation after a mandated reporter contacted the Department for Children and Families on Feb. 12 to report possible child sexual abuse in Sudbury.
After a thorough investigation by Vermont State Police and DCF, Sean M. Seguin surrendered to the VSP Rutland barracks on Feb. 22.
Following his surrender, Seguin was processed and then brought before the Rutland Criminal Court for arraignment.
The victim, a juvenile female, is receiving support from local agencies.
The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the case to protect the identity of the minor involved.
Seguin’s case is pending as the court proceedings continue.
