SPRINGFIELD — In the early hours of Feb. 20, the Springfield Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle, a bread delivery box truck, which was later recovered near the trailhead parking area just over the North Springfield town line in Weatherfield.
According to officials, footprints believed to belong to the suspect were found in the snow, leading down the trail.
The Windsor County Sheriff’s Department joined the search, deploying a Polaris Side by Side UTV to aid in the extensive but unsuccessful search for the suspect.
As the investigation continues, the Springfield Police Department urges anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
