RUTLAND — Vermont State Police arrested a 68-year-old Rutland Town man on charges of domestic assault following a family dispute Tuesday evening.
Troopers were called to a residence at 7:23 p.m. on Feb. 20.
Upon arrival, they investigated a complaint of a family fight.
Their investigation concluded that Richard Marallo had caused pain and injury to another member of his household.
Marallo was cited to appear in Rutland County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 12:30 p.m.
The Vermont State Police, adhering to their policy, have not released the name of the victim.
Vermont State Police encourage anyone experiencing domestic violence to seek help and remind the public that resources are available through local support agencies and law enforcement.
