PROCTOR — A one-vehicle accident on West Street led to non-life-threatening injuries and a citation for a Proctor teenager on Feb. 15.
Vermont State Police responded to the scene near Valley Acres Farm at approximately 9:49 a.m. after receiving reports of the crash.
According to authorities, the 19-year-old was driving a 2010 Ford Focus when his vehicle veered off the road, struck a tree stump, and became airborne.
The car subsequently collided with a tree and landed on its roof.
The teen was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The vehicle was reported as totaled.
Following an investigation, he was issued a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division, to respond to charges of negligent operation.
The Regional Ambulance Service and Proctor Fire Department provided assistance at the crash site.
