MILTON — A 25-year-old Grand Isle man was arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 89, according to state police.
Troopers responded to the scene near Milton at 8:08 p.m. on Feb. 5, where they discovered a car that had crashed.
The driver, identified as Kevin Vignola, exhibited several signs of impairment during interaction with law enforcement officers.
After conducting field sobriety tests, Vignola was taken into custody under the suspicion of DUI.
He was transported to the Williston State Police field station for processing.
Vignola has been issued a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court Criminal Division on Feb. 22 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the DUI charge.
