CONCORD — A motor vehicle crash early this morning on Hopkinton Road resulted in one fatality and two injuries, according to Concord Police Department officials.
The accident occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m. near the intersection of Hopkinton Road and Loop Road.
Concord police and fire departments responded to the scene where they discovered a collision involving two vehicles.
One individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Two other individuals sustained injuries in the crash and were transported to Concord Hospital for treatment.
Currently, traffic is being rerouted in both eastbound and westbound directions of Hopkinton Road onto Loop Road.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and to seek alternative routes if possible.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and Concord Police are appealing to the public for any information related to the incident.
