GEORGIA — A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 North left a Swanton man with serious injuries early Sunday morning.
The accident occurred at Mile Marker 105.2 around 8:11 a.m. on Feb. 11. Vermont State Police from the St. Albans Barracks responded to the scene where they found a 2016 Jeep Renegade overturned in the median.
The driver, identified as 31-year-old John Kaczkowski, was transported to Northwest Medical Center for treatment. His injuries are reported to be serious.
The Jeep Renegade was declared totaled.
The weather was cloudy with dry road conditions at the time of the crash.
The cause is still under investigation, and witnesses are encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police at St. Albans Barracks.
