BURLINGTON — Vermont State Police issued a citation for negligent operation to a Burlington man after he was caught speeding on I-89 South near Exit 13 late Saturday night.
Troopers conducting speed enforcement observed a white BMW sedan traveling at a high rate of speed at about 9:54 p.m., clocking the vehicle at 96 mph in a 55 mph zone.
The car, driven by Michael Ulrich, 32, was pulled over without incident.
Upon confirmation via radar of the speed, which was 41 mph above the posted limit, Ulrich was identified and subsequently issued a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court on charges of Negligent Operation.
The court date has not been announced.
