RUTLAND TOWN — A two-vehicle crash on US RT 7 near the Days Inn resulted in property damage but no injuries on the morning of Feb. 9.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene at 9 a.m. following reports of the collision.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Morgan Over, 43, of Wallingford, was driving a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek northbound when she collided with the rear of a 2019 Subaru Outback, which was stopped at a red light.

The Outback was operated by Elyse Richardson, 39, of Flushing, New York, with passenger Coulter Richardson, 54, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

According to authorities, Over was found to be inattentive, leading to the crash.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the incident, and there were no reported injuries.

The Crosstrek sustained damage to its front left corner, while the Outback was damaged on the back right corner.

The Rutland Town Fire Department assisted state police at the scene.

The road conditions were dry, and the weather was cloudy, which did not appear to be factors in the collision.

Traffic resumed normally after police cleared the scene.
