RICHFORD — A routine welfare check led to the arrest of a 50-year-old Richford woman on an outstanding warrant early Wednesday morning.
Vermont State Police responded to a residence on Home Street at approximately 12:21 a.m. for a welfare check.
During the investigation, authorities made contact with Alison Glidden and discovered she had an active warrant for her arrest.
The warrant was issued after Glidden failed to appear in court on a charge of possession of cocaine less than 2.5 grams, with a set bail of $200.
Glidden was subsequently taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Center, where she will await further court proceedings.
