NEWPORT — The Memphremagog Ski Touring Foundation (MSTF) in conjunction with the Vermont Land Trust (VLT) invites community members to the annual Bluffside Farm Ski/Snowshoe Tour, slated for Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon at 171 Scott Farm Road.

Since its commencement in the winter of 2018, the event has offered locals the opportunity to explore the groomed ski trails of Bluffside Farm. These trails wind through a picturesque landscape that includes forested areas and agricultural lands along the scenic shores of Lake Memphremagog.

Participants of all ages are encouraged to join the tour, which also includes discussions on various environmental topics such as wildlife habitat, field and forest management, invasive species control, and the wetland restoration project being undertaken at Bluffside Farm.

Those planning to attend should come prepared with skis or snowshoes and be dressed appropriately for the winter weather. In the event of insufficient snow, the event will proceed as a walk.

Attendees will convene at the Sugar-house parking lot at the farm at 10 a.m. for a beginner-level, moderately paced tour and discussion lasting approximately an hour and a half. Refreshments will be provided.
