LOWELL — Detectives assigned to the Special Investigations Section served a search warrant in the Centralville neighborhood on Monday, which led to the seizure of significant quantities of Fentanyl, Cocaine, various firearms, ammunition, and over $66,000 in cash.
The operation, carried out on Feb. 5, resulted in the arrest of an adult male who is now facing charges for drug trafficking, drug distribution, conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws, as well as firearms charges.
Additionally, the suspect was wanted on multiple arrest warrants, which contributed to his apprehension.
The suspect, whose identity has not been released pending further investigation, is currently being held by local law enforcement.
The successful warrant execution is part of an ongoing effort by the LPD10 to combat the distribution of illegal drugs and weapons in the area.
Officials have yet to disclose further details regarding the investigation or the subsequent legal proceedings.
