Morrisville man arrested on warrant following traffic stop

MORRISVILLE — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Morrisville man on an outstanding warrant late Friday night.

At approximately 11:22 p.m., a Vermont State Police trooper from the Williston barracks stopped a vehicle on VT Route 15 in Morrisville for an equipment violation.

The driver was identified as 45-year-old James Mason of Morrisville.

During the stop, it was discovered that Mason had an active instate arrest warrant for failure to appear, relating to a charge of False Pretenses.

Mason was taken into custody without incident.

Following the arrest, Mason was issued a citation and released.

He is scheduled to appear at the Lamoille County Superior Court on Monday at 12:30 p.m. to address the warrant.
