CHESTERFIELD — Chesterfield Police Department officials are seeking the public’s assistance in their investigation of a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m. on Route 9 near the Gorge.
Authorities report that a driver, operating a gray or silver sedan, was traveling westbound on Route 9 at a high rate of speed and was seen passing other vehicles on the right shortly before the collision.
The sedan in question should exhibit front left side damage.
Lieutenant Lance Rouse urges anyone with details about the incident or the vehicle to come forward.
