Driver faces DUI, drug charges after rollover crash in Fairlee

FAIRLEE — On Jan. 26 at approximately 1:44 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a single vehicle rollover crash on US Route 5 in Fairlee.

The driver, Jordan Owen, 34, of Lyme, New Hampshire, exhibited signs of impairment at the scene, according to authorities.

After a DUI screening, Owen was arrested.

A subsequent search revealed regulated drugs and cocaine in his possession.

Further investigation uncovered an active warrant for Owen’s arrest for failing to appear in court, where he faced charges of providing false information to law enforcement.

Owen underwent an evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert at the St. Johnsbury barracks and was later held at the Northeast Correctional Complex.

He received a citation to appear in the Orange County Court, Criminal Division, to respond to the DUI-drug charge.
