BOSTON — Officers from District B-2 in Roxbury arrested a man late Thursday night after finding him asleep with a loaded firearm.
At approximately 11:40 p.m. on Jan. 25, Boston police responded to a call about an individual with a gun at 570 Dudley St. Upon arrival, officers located Stephenson King, 37, of Dorchester, slumbering on the building’s stairs.
A firearm’s handle was visible under his sweatshirt.
Without disturbing King, the officers secured the weapon, a 9mm Polymer 80 handgun, which was found to be loaded with three live rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber.
The magazine had a capacity of 17 rounds.
Police then woke King and took him into custody.
He faces multiple charges including Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity feeding device, and Possession of Ammunition.
King is expected to be arraigned at Roxbury District Court.
