Concord man charged in hit-and-run that injured pedestrian

CONCORD — Concord Police have charged a local man in connection with a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured a pedestrian earlier this month.

Authorities say James Feltham, 60, of Concord, was driving the vehicle that struck a pedestrian on Clinton Street, between Langley Parkway and Norwich Street, at approximately 4:55 a.m. on Jan. 8.

The driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid or report the incident.

The victim, who has not been named, was taken to a Boston hospital with serious injuries but has since been released and is now recovering.

After a week of investigation, police identified Feltham and the vehicle involved in the collision.

Feltham has been charged with conduct after an accident causing serious bodily injury, a Class B felony.

Feltham is scheduled for arraignment at the 6th Circuit- District Division- Concord on Feb. 26 at 8:15 a.m.
