MILFORD — A woman suffered a serious facial injury early Sunday morning when another woman and two men allegedly attacked her in her home, police said.
The Milford Police Patrol Division responded to the Milford Police Department lobby around 3:17 a.m. on Jan. 21 to assist the victim, who had a deep laceration on her upper lip.
The Milford Fire Department and Community Ambulance provided immediate medical treatment upon their arrival.
Investigators learned that the assailant, identified as Valdirene Da Cruz Santos from Worcester, Massachusetts, bit the victim’s face during the assault.
Officers arrested Santos a short time after the incident.
The two male suspects involved in the altercation are also expected to face charges, according to authorities.
Santos is charged with mayhem, assault and battery causing serious bodily injury, and breaking and entering a building at nighttime with intent to commit a felony.
