DORSET — Vermont State Police responded to a report of domestic disturbance on VT Route 30 in Dorset at approximately 1:12 p.m. on Jan. 22.
Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of Richard Ludlam, 76, of Dorset.
Ludlam is accused of attempting to inflict serious bodily injury or death and physically harming a household or family member.
Following the incident, Ludlam was processed and subsequently released with conditions.
He is scheduled to appear at the Bennington County Superior Court – Criminal Division for his arraignment on Jan. 23 at 12:30 p.m.
The Vermont State Police has not disclosed the name of the victim in compliance with privacy policies regarding domestic violence and sexual assault cases.
