JAY — A Newport Center woman was taken into custody late Saturday night on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Vermont State Police responded to a report of an unconscious female driver on VT RT 242 in Jay at approximately 11:52 p.m.
Upon arrival, troopers found the woman, identified as 29-year-old Desirae Leo, awake after EMS personnel roused her.
Leo exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested following an investigation.
She was transported to the Derby Barracks for processing and subsequently released with a citation to appear in court to face DUI charges.
