West Warwick man arrested on multiple warrants after traffic stop

RICHMOND — At 2:04 p.m., Rhode Island State Troopers arrested Jason Arling, 49, of West Warwick, on outstanding court warrants following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street.

Arling was taken into custody on a Providence Superior Court bench warrant related to a Reciprocal Body Attachment for a Non-Criminal Charge.

Additionally, he faced a Third District Court bench warrant for failing to appear at an arraignment on a charge of driving with a suspended, revoked, or canceled license, originating from the East Greenwich Police Department.

Following the arrest, Arling was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and subsequently transported to the Men’s Adult Correctional Institute.

In a separate incident late at night, troopers arrested Michael Farago, 49, of Exeter, due to his involvement in a disturbance at his residence.

At 11:01 p.m., Farago was charged with firing in a compact area, carrying a weapon while intoxicated, and disorderly conduct.

After being processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, Farago was held overnight and awaited arraignment in the morning.
